White spray paint is not clear

If you work on a .pdo model for months, figuring out the layout of the parts and how they actually relate to each other, figuring out how to actually attach the various parts to each other so something resembling the final product is achieved, and finally get the d***ed thing complete do not absentmindedly grab a can of white spray paint instead of a can of clear spray finish and spray the model thinking you are applying a protective clear coat. No matter how much you shake the can it will not come out clear.

Ouch.

My son thinks I'm an idiot, but clear spray is stored near my papercraft supplies. Craft paints are stored in my office, indoor paint on shelves along one basement wall, and exterior paint on shelves opposite the indoor paint shelves.

OCD, I guess.

Near the indoor paint is my insecticide, fertilizer, fungicide chemicals and sprayer. In another corner are the weed killers, brush killers, etc. and their sprayer.

I just know that that kind of problem is something I could do easily, so I plan against it.

Sorry about your problem

I can neither confirm nor deny that the above mentioned event has ever happened to me
nor anyone I may personally know, nor whether the involved color was white or gray.

I store all my clears and paint sprays in one box...with the lid closed.
I close my eyes and reach inside.
I know what every can feels like.
I never make a mistake.

You just need practice Doug.

Doug - look on the bright side. Now you can paint it in the colours you like.

Or give it to a kid to paint and see what results!

Yikes! But it is the same colour as paper.
