Postage time from Poland

Does anyone know how long a heavy package from Poland takes to get to the US?

I am up to 52 days since it was tracked leaving Gdansk but this seems excessive.

Thanks
John

How much did you pay for Postage?

I often try cheapo things from Hong Kong and China (via Amazon).
I go for the lowest or free shipping options.
The parcels take up to 90 days sometimes!

Low cost shipping usually means surface travel (car, truck, boat) and can take a while.
Determine the shipping time that the Shipper expects and offered you at the start
and wait that amount of time...then start asking for a refund.
If you paid by Paypal, you are covered....put in a claim stating goods not received.

Then, theres the issue of Customs.
Some things may experience inspection delays. That red fluid leaking out of the package always prompts further examination.
Some things just aren't allowed in. Uranium and fresh Meat always set off the detectors.
Some things get lost. Gold Bars and cheques always seem to go missing.

Thanks,

WMC?

The whole thing is 4.6Kg and it was cheap on postage so I figured it was by boat but I'm only at this address for another 2 weeks.

Thanks
John

Recently (within last 6 months) I had Air Mail packages taking 5-6 weeks to get to me in Canada. After checking around it turned out they were held in Montreal for majority of that time.Something about customs office there being real choke point.I'm thinking Italian strike.

Mine has not been tracked since "Leaving Poland" on 24 July. I know its out of the hands of the shop but they never answered as to what method they used or how long the post office expect it to take.

The race is on!!

Most likely your parcel is held at the customs. I had this happening to me too. Even though parcel had a tracking number it only worked up to the point of entry into Canada, than two weeks of customs hold up after which delivery in Canada had no more tracking. Out of the blue, one sunny day past two weeks of delay it suddenly showed up at my doorsteps...
