Didn't think that you could improve the look of an Eagle, but it's been done. Also, check out the SkyDiver !!! - that is a fantastic looking craft.

These are fantastic! I recently found some images of a Skydiver model WIP on Flickr:

The model was made in 2006. Does anybody know "modern_fred" or if this model has been finished and become available for download somewhere?

Unless I am mistaken, that looks like SHADO SkyDiver 1 by Gary Pilsworth. Or at least it looks very similar to it maybe with some slight repaint modifications to the coloring around the cockpit, nose and the under wing pods and slightly enlarged like many of the other models in the gallery?

I thought so, too. But if it is Gary's model the cockpit section was completey reworked, so I'm not very sure about that.

I wasn't sure either until I started poking around in that gallery and noticed that he seemed to be a whiz with illustrator and he appears to have enlarged and reworked some other notable SCiFi paper model subjects from other reputable designers.

This one looks to me at least like Pierre Fontaine's XL5 blown up supersized and touched up with illustrator:

And this one looks like uhu02's UFO Interceptor paper model blown up just short of 2 foot long:

They are all quite impressive and judging from some of the other projects in his albums, he was quite adept at enlarging and modifying paper model subjects, especially some of these that were around and widely available during the early 2000's...

Yes, you may be correct. Anyway, the models displayed are pure eye-candy.

Aren't they though? Makes me want to blow one up to super-sized and build one!
