How many members live in the greater Pacific Northwest, and are interested in a paper
To my knowledge, there are no paper model expos in the greater Pacific Northwest. So I have created this poll to see if there are any members in the PNW (especially Oregon) who are interested in assisting me in putting together an EXPO in Oregon. If there is enough interest, I am considering having it at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, OR.
If you have any questions, please send me a PM.

I'm not in the PNW, but I'd be interested in going.

Needless to say, everyone (regardless of where they live) is welcome to attend the expo and displaying their collection.
I am just curious if there is local interest as well. Especially those who are interested in getting involved in the logistics of the expo and assisting me putting it together. There are three (or four) hotels near the museum for those who are from out of town or state.

You might consider joining up with the Portland IPMS club show. Shows take a lot of work. I expect they would support paper models being displayed.
If there was a vendor table with some paper models to be purchased it would go a long way to expanding the hobby. Even if the table was just local model builders adjusting their stash. The larger the show the more vendors are interested in attending. The more vendors, the more attendees. Kind of a pleasantly vicious cycle. Good luck ! |

Unfortunately, I am not a vendor. However, I have thought about it many times.
As for the Portland IPMS show, I will check it out and once I have built a few more models, I will see if I can enter them into the show. I am also looking at contacting the local library and see if I can put on a small seminar. Quote:
