Just found this pirated on Ebay

Just found this on Ebay for $9.99 with free shipping on Ebay. Seller as usual is a Chinese pirate. Seller goes by the name of nijigen-world in Changsha. Apparently stolen from Roboteknikpaper.

The good thing is the seller has printed the kit and is selling preprinted pages.
The bad thing is the model is still unauthorized and pirated.

I see the listing images are also pilfered.
Whomever owns these images should report and demand the takedown of the images.
This can be done with a simple DMCA report.

To remove the unauthorized model sale, may a VERO report.
But I do see some new ebay pages regarding counterfeit, unauthorized copies and pirated materials:

He has 150 models listed.
Here is the sad part.
If it was not for my being a member of this forum I would be blissfully unaware of pirating.
I would be unaware of most legitimate paper model web sites.
In my ignorance I would have happily bought from dodgy sellers, as do many others.
So until everyone on this planet is warned of such practices, pirates will flourish.
If the music and movie industries cant curb piracy then paper modelers have no chance.

Partly true...
admitting defeat isn't the way to go.

But until all designers start standing up for their own rights
it is hard for the rest of us to combat piracy.
I'm talking about taking steps to deal with the unauthorized sharing and selling of models.

There are many designers who don't mind their free works being redistributed,
but I wish they would at least demand some permissions and proper credit.
Make it known that files were copied, shared, redistributed without permission.
Insist that proper requests are made in the future and proper credit is given.

Then there are others who get upset with piracy and lock their models away,
rather than pursue the proper actions and demand takedowns.
To many, its "too much trouble".

Unfortunately this hurts me and other designers,
because many "pirates" think its okay because people don't complain,
and so they don't understand when I (and others) complain about stuff being pirated and/or reshared.

And when it comes to making money off other peoples work, stronger efforts are needed to control these sellers.
Sites like ebay have rules and standards in place to protect themselves and their clients, why not use them?

I have to agree with Dave. Many wonderful free models that used to be available are now gone because of these d*mn pirates. It would be nice to hunt them down and surgically remove their reproductive abilities with no anesthetic.
