Brexit Speech
I guess there are enough Tolkein/Jackson fans around here to get this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NpExkViy6M I think it should be mandatory for government spokesmen to deliver their messages in this style - at least it would be entertaining. Regards, Charlie |

Humour is certainly one layer of the video. Also it's a fantastic piece of performance art, ridiculing a politician and a political process without being abusive or threatening. Andy Serkis' performance piece was in the British media - I had thought to share it for our American colleagues and others. My view is that politicians really need to ridiculed on a regular basis - it keeps their world view in perspective and the more obnoxious of them scuttle away under the fridge with a good spray of ridicule like the cockroaches they emulate. Also the item would seem to be fine under forum guidelines for the Cardboard Lounge - quote:
"Got something you just want to get off your Desk? This is the place to do it. Kick back and see where the conversations take you. Any discussions not related to paper models is welcome. Please limit volatile topics, there are other forums for that." Regards, Charlie |

Politicians are also sometimes good performers (outside of politics). Witness this splendid (and genuine) Australian effort........
