I saw it again today with my wife, who was as impressed as I was at my first viewing. We stayed for the half hour "making of" short that followed - also excellent. "Grow Old" was showing in two of the Galleria's sixteen auditoriums, and once again, one theater was totally sold out (3D) and the one we were in was absolutely packed - and this was a matinee. Rousing applause at the end. It has been decades since I've been in such a crowded theater. Both times I saw the film, I was gratified to see how many young people (teens through mid-twenties) were in the audience.

I normally don't go to movies (I'm deaf) but I went this time since I don't really need narration to silent films.Peter Jackson did really amazing work with that old footage. He made old film come alive.I haven't seen most of those shots before but I had sen a lot of other films in original form so I have something to compare.

One thing came to me watching this-Eastern Front was very different from Western one.Not better or worse but different.Far more mobile and much more destructive to civilian population.
