Happy Boxing Day all.
The tradition is still alive and well in South Africa in the older and less "posh" suburbs - today being truly the Boxing Day for refuse collectors, municipal workers and so forth. So one has to have (at least where I am) plenty of goodies and money available.......! So the Wiki entry is not quite right.
