That seems to happen in a lot of things. Solving one problem just reveals the 20 other problems it was hiding.

Agreed, Aaron. Much like renovating older houses - a magical mystery tour!

It's ironic that people who have the patience to build highly detailed paper models don't seem to have the patience to wait for a web site to be rebuilt. 🤯

OK, every now and then I get on a soap box and say what I think. Not always welcome but I hope constructive rather than destructive.
I have not built a single model that I have downloaded from here. Reasons are varied and not in my control like health but for what it is worth.
Dave is a massive contributor here and seeing his Centurion build got me here, enjoying many examples of how to practice the art of paper modeling. I have gained a huge amount of enjoyment from each and every model and build thread and owe everyone a huge debt. Thank you. I believe the ecardmodels site will come back stronger than ever but also that those developing the site have actual real lives and jobs. Odd perhaps but they get in the way of so many things we want to do so but nothing happens overnight, well nothing worthwhile. A while ago I mooted my helping in some way, not technically though as I am sure my meagre ability would be less than helpful. I am going to do something rather than whinge about perfection not being achieved and if enough is done we will perhaps make a difference.
AIrdave (Dave) I owe you big and I intend to find a way to do something about that, when I get rid of this bleeping sinus infection, it's driving me up the wall....... Nope, definitely not perfect.

Mike, you don't owe me anything. Just enjoy yourself the best you can.
I'm glad you got some enjoyment from the Centurion project.
Its funny you brought that one up...

I was sitting on the toilet this morning (hahaha get that picture out of your head!)
thinking about the Centurion and the Saladin projects and swearing to myself
that I will never get bogged down by another project that big.
hahaha I have so many ideas for another big project though!

Its very time consuming, and a ton of work, but I really like documenting a build and creating a long tutorial thread.
I have done so many...but I haven't done one in a very long time.
Maybe I need to start a new project just for that purpose?

Although I'd like to step down in scale...do something a bit simpler, so its not so life encompassing.
More than a year just to build the tracks for the Centurion! sheesh!!

Biggest problem is this ecardmodels thing...because once we get the store "system" sorted out,
it will be 24/7 spent on adding product listings and restocking the store.
I won't have time for any model work!
Thats one of the reasons I haven't started anything new.
I'm not looking forward to that part...but it will have to be done.
