Santa Fe was always protective of their logo but not overbearing. After the merger and becoming BNSF they've become as bad as Mercedes or Ferrari. The only good thing if you're willing to go through the hoops for premission is they did all those retro repaints to keep copywrites alive.

Johnny,

I did a re-paint of the RXR F unit in the Canadian National Railway stripes.

I didn't try to get it sold as a re-paint, figured it might cause some problems.

We will have to see what happens.

Anyone who followed the F7 thread wil be interested in this, our new project:
EMD GP38 - coloring?! (this is the new thread)
Zeist Bouwplaten / Paper Trade designer Cor van Haasteren and I have had some well earned rest after the DC4 / C54 'Skymaster'. We are now starting a new project: the engine that succeeded / replaced the F7. When we mentioned this plan in the F7 thread we were sent a large amount of very good drawings, so no problem there. Cor will also be off on a flying start: the trucks are the same as those on the F7!
One serious question remains: there so many different liveries / colourings!

So I am asking you for your preferences. Please go to the new thread >EMD GP38 - coloring?!> and send a maximum of 3 options, attaching pictures showing front and side of each of your choices. In about a month's timeI will then find the top 3 or 4, and announce a second round here.

Hoping for lots of reactions,
