Server Not Responding

I'm getting this message more and more often these days when I try to log in to papermodelers.com, whether I use Firefox or Internet Explorer. And for longish periods too - two days in one instance. I wondered if anyone else was experiencing this, or is it just me? Any ideas as to the cause?

Philip,

next time you encounter this, can you make a screenshot of the page?
this way we can get the host involved, and see why you are getting that message

I've received a similar message a couple times in the last month, as well. If it happens again, I will take a screenshot

Yeah, I have noticed that a few times. The site also seems to slow to a crawl sometimes. All of the other sites I visit when that happens are not slow.

So...

I must be one of the lucky ones. No "server not responding" messages, haven't noticed any slowdowns.

Brave browser on Linux Mint 19.

Will advise if I notice anything.

No problems for me either - using Chrome on a Samsung Galaxy tablet.

I have had absolutely no problems with site loading or log in.
Chrome or Firefox.

But while we are on the topic of site issues, for two or three months I have had
a problem with image loading. I am referring only to attached images ...where
a thumbnail appears in the post, and when you click on it, the screen goes dark
and an image loading window appears.

The loading takes forever...usually I give up waiting at the 30 second mark.

It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but almost.

This is a new experience for me, on this site.
I have respectable internet speed, and no interfering software or vpn.
And I'm not seeing the problem on other sites.

No server problems for me either. Using a12.9 iPad Pro with Safari, a 27" i5 5K iMac with Safari, and a 2010 MacBook Pro with Safari.

I do second Dave’s observation, though. Sometimes when I click a thumbnail picture it can take a long time for the full size photo to load. Sometimes I just cancel it out and don’t get to see the full size photo.

Do agree with Dave regarding images loading. I've had the same problems.

Are the images large in size?
I can understand that if there is some latency issues in that regard.

There is no issue when clicking on a reduced image(the ones with the yellow bar across the top of the image saying it has been reduced from it's original size)?

I am just trying to get a sense of where the issues might lie, and how best we can approach it in order to fix it(Upgrade, expansion of server space)
