Ecardmodels discord chat

Hello everyone! I am working on setting up a discord chat server for anyone that might be so inclined to be interested in some live text chatting with your paper modeling buddies. Right now its rather quiet as there is only myself and a couple other people there but Iam hoping to see a few of you there!

I am working with a friend to make a bot for the room as well that will help with paper weight conversions, scale conversions and what scale you will get if you print on a different paper size that originally intended. We are also looking to figure out how to make the bot scrape websites to notify members there when new kits come out (not just ecardmodels) my intent that while I am running this as part of ecardmodels.com the site will be a bit agnostic and help people find new free kits elsewhere.

Hi Chris - I haven't been able to make this work. I type in a user name, hit "continue," click on the "I am not a robot" box, hit "continue," and then a sort of cartoon blue cloud sweeps across the screen and I am left staring at a dark gray and otherwise blank screen.

You will recall that I am rather a dunce with this sort of thing (you and Mike Krol have patiently talked me through ordering procedures in the past). I am the kind of old person who still uses a flip phone (in my case, held together with tape).

We see two Don Boose accounts at discord...I guess this is why.
You are logged in and connected, but the chat screen is not loading for you.

Could this be a java or flash thing?
Not sure if they have anything to do with the discord site.
How long have you waited with that blank screen?
You see no "allow" pop-ups? ...like for flash?

Thanks, Dave. I guess there are two accounts because I tried twice. There may be three by now.

It could be a Java or Flash thing. I wouldn't know. I keep Java updated, but it is certainly possible that there is some aspect of my computer that I am ignorant of that is preventing the thing from loading.

I haven't timed how long I have waited with the blank screen. The last time, I checked email, checked the forum, and did some work preparing for a teleconference with my students for the on-line elective that is underway before checking back in and the blank screen was still there - so maybe five to ten minutes.

No "allow" pop ups.

It's a puzzlement.
