How Many Of You?
How many of you have been active on this site for 10 years or more?
I don’t recall the exact date I registered to be a member of this site, but it was sometime late in 2008. So, a few months ago I passed my 10-year anniversary. Many members have come and gone, but many more remain active here. I don’t know when the site began, but it was at least several years before I stumbled across it. So there may be many of you that have been active here longer than 10 years. It really took some thought, but attached here is my all-time pick for the image that has provided the most inspiration to me. Tough pick. Since I spend most of my time in the ships/watercraft forum, it was my area of expertise. However, it would be fun to see some of the beauties from the other forums. If you have had a 10-year, or 11-year (or more) anniversary, feel free to share your thoughts and your favorite image. It would be fun to find out how large the 10-year+ club actually is. Cheers, Mike |

Thanks Rickstef. That date sounds right.
So for you, it's been over 11 years! I remember, when I first joined I had no intention of being very active. I simply wanted to look at the pictures. But the quality of the work pulled me in. Mike |

Been a while. To long to try to pick a favorite picture or model build. There are so many of them that have been posted over the years.

I joined on the 27th of July 2007, but can't pick a favorite image or the one that provided the most inspiration. Images from your threads and of your magnificent steam-and-steel warships would certainly be contenders!

I joined in September of 2008. But a number of us here go back to some of the earliest internet paper groups in the nineties - King Butler's bulletin board and Steve Brown's FAQs. Sorry, but too many excellent builds for me to pick just one for inspiration.

Interesting. You go waaaay back. I have never heard of "King Butler's" bulletin board. Or the other one either. The "nineties" would precede my paper modeling carreer. Mike |

Looks like it was 7/02/2008 for me, so nearly 11 years.
My favorite build thread has to be Bomarc's Orlik PBJ-1H build. I think he even generously sent me the unguided rockets from the kits. I still remember the level of detail he put into that build.
