not quite, I remember watching a Football(Soccer) match on a Wednesday evening sometime during the mid 1980s when I lived in the Netherlands, something like a Champions League game, and the ball gets kicked into the stands behind one of the goals, and the ball gets tossed back onto the the field, and doesn't bounce, just plops, someone stuck the ball with a knife before tossing it back.

Yeah, the Dutch seem to be peaceful and law abiding, but they can make a mess just like anyone else
