I have been subject to insect attack and now look upon myself as some sort of expert culinary chief for invertebrates.
-------------------------- We have 5 cats - not one has ever touched or damaged a model. They express no interest in models whatsoever. Two of them are always arriving out of fresh air on my building board when I am making models, but they always carefully step around and over everything. The only thing I have to watch for are the two long-haired cats, who sometimes "swish" up a small part in their long tail hairs!

We all have had our moments. My cat just passed after 10 years of being my buddy. I would trade all my models for one more day with that little pudding head. Models are just stuff we take pride in for display and achievement. People and pets can't be rebuilt.

I have basic hoarding tendencies, and there’s nothing I can’t repair/fix when I get the time. So I have scores of damaged models laying around the house. It breaks my heart but some times for domestic tranquillity you just have to take a deep breath and chuck your hard work into the bin. Cats and kids just help you decide which ones go when thinning the herd.

I just solve the problem by never actually finishing anything, although I keep threating to.

And lets not forget your Renault Tank that got dive bombed with bird poop at Army Heritage Days

I'm really glad to have been able to see these models in their original, undamaged state.

I'm glad that the U.S. Army vehicles survived, especially the Tamiya GPA (or was it Fujimi)?

The one that hurts the most is the Scud launcher seeing as it took me 8 years to finish it. The suspension failed. But then again that was an earlier part of the build that was of more questionable build quality on my part. I have a new Cromwell on order with laser tracks so it will be replaced anew. Moving casualties I have replacements for include a Maly Star 25 crane, P51B, HMA Ark Royal (that one never actually made the move), JSC dreadnaught (which is in drydock), Orel Amiral Ushakov, Answer ME109W and Renova Hunley. I think I might work on one or more of these once the Tractor is done. greg

Greg you better keep the FAMO under tight lock and key far away and out of reach from the four legged furbees and the grand kids. I'd be a shame for it to go down the same path as the others.

Greg, your builds are of such high quality that they are museum pieces. Have you considered loaning them or giving them away to your local library or a nearby museum for all to enjoy?
