I have been corresponding and collaborating with John for nearly 20 years. When I spent time in person with him, I found him to be exactly what I was expecting. Warm, kind intelligent thoughtful, and with a great sense of humor. He was a talented artist as you can see in his line drawing of a DeHavilland Canada Beaver. I am very saddened by his passing. RIP John.

John put this (as of yet unpublished) livery on my Beaver model last autumn:

Very sad news. My heartfelt condolences to his family. I enjoyed John's posts, repaints and general warmth. I know now if builders block ever hits me I'll feel John's guidance as he watches over our builds. RIP John.
