Yesterday was a good day
Back in 2019 I lost my main computer at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Monday.
On Sunday night, I had thought, 'You know, I need to transfer my files to the newer computer. It's been a while.' Listen to those little voices telling you to do things you know you need to do. I lost so much. It was during my Wild Wild West project, and all of my work on The Wanderer was lost, as was the work on the Lincoln Funeral Train, and the Presidential Mansion in New York. Yesterday, when I was doing my taxes and was ready to e-file, I needed info from my 2018 taxes to proceed. My IT guy has had my old computer since March, but only works on it in his spare time, but he had transferred the retrievable data to another hard drive while he was seeing if he could get the old computer working. He was able to free himself up so I could pick up the drive with the data and Yes, the 2018 tax return was on there and not corrupted. Got the taxes submitted and had the money to pay the difference. And now I have the drive with my long lost files. Thus far I have only seen image files that were corrupted. PDF's seem fine. But the trains are there. Whew! Remember, boys and girls, Back up, back up, back up

That's great news and I totally agree with your backup advice. I use two Clickfree devices and an off-line computer for file storage backup. I lost too many things over the years. John
