What to do for my next long term build...

Decisions, decisions. Now that my FAMO project is done, I need to start planning for my next BIG project. I will not commit to any specific kits at this time but I will throw out the categories for consideration:

Fair warning: although large aircraft is included in the categories, I most likely will steer clear of it due to current display area constraints.

Another military transport rig.

However, I will be happy to watch you build anything.

I see my preferences are mainline. First choice would be a choo-choo, whatever you like (I’d recommend steam); second choice would be construction themed. Choose something that will give you a chance to get away from dull colors like gray or Olive Drab for a while.

You funny. Although back in 2014 I was challenged to build a locomotive pulling a flat car with a crane on it, by some classmates at my 30 yr class reunion. I don't have a suitable flatcar in my inventory (and no real desire to build one) to make this a reality at the moment.

GPM offers a 1/25 Renault R 17 on a flat car. https://sklep.gpm.pl/en/modelcard/ta...k-carrying-car

Just sayin'.

I used to have this model, but a few years ago I offered it up at an International Paper Modelers' Convention, either as an award or for the auction.

if I still had it, I would gladly send it to you (indeed, if you were to decide to build this model, I would immediately order one from GPM for delivery to you).

Thanks Don for the suggestion/offer, but not sure this one would "qualify" as a long term project. Unless you know something that I don't, about this particular kit....

Looks pretty complicated to me . . . and you could always add a locomotive and a 40/8 box car/goods wagon.

But, your model, your decision.
