Awesome, Rick! Brenham’s a neat town. I think you’ll like it.

Rick,

Best of luck in the new place and job. After I graduated in 1987 as a Chemical Engineer, I made a US road trip from New York to Los Angeles and we drove through Texas as well. One thing I clearly remembered when crossing the state line with Louisiana were the signs along the road, reading "Don't Mess With Texas". So, sort of a heads up to you .... Stay safe.

Cheers,
Erik

Well Hooray for You Rick!

Rick,

I always remember stepping out of the airport door in Houston - that first breath was a lollapaloozer, the humidity so thick you could cut it with a butter knife. We started thinking we had to be stir crazy to come to a place like Houston, how could anyone live here, especially in the Summer time? You'll be an air-conditioning expert in no time.

Other than that you'll love the place....,

Have a good trip, stay well, stay safe and good luck!

-Gil

Rick
It's been a long time since I lived in Texas, but I remember the food, lots of good affordable restaurants, and fresh high quality groceries, especially fruits and veg from te Rio Grande Valley in the stores.
Also, If you are going to be working outside in the summer, get a lot of summer weight, light color, long sleeve shirts, and a broad brim hat.

Very nice to hear that Rick, congratulations on opening a new chapter in life. New map, new stories, new adventures. That's the way I see it.

I hope you don't like snow. You'll probably never see it again.
