Currently reading, Shuttle, Houston written by Paul Dye. Very informative about the shuttle operations explained in easy to understand words. Son just bought me, SLED DRIVER by Brian Shul, waiting with anticipation for it. Been wanting a copy for years, normal selling price on eBay is upper $400-to above. Did you build the display shelves yourself? You have others as well? I built a simple one 8ft long, three shelf layers using solid pine 96"x10"x1" and 1" dia. wood dowels for uprights, footpads are 2x4's. As soon as it was done, already needed another one. Buying the materials tomorrow, planned on it already, now your shelves give me added inspiration. Be nice to get the books in boxes out on some shelves. Mike |

Mike - The bookcases and file cabinet were built by a superb local cabinet maker. He built them for me in the late 90s when a lot of contract teaching, writing, and consulting brought in enough additional income that I could pay for them.
He also built the cabinet and bookcases in the adjacent sunroom. Regarding the images, I have heard that one of the accompaniments to advanced age is growing clutter. That seems to be the case. Lex - As if. I hope you do try your hand at one or more of these little bookcase dioramas. I like the concept. Don |

That's a library full of books Don! How do you find the time to read and build?
I take breaks from one to the other. Like to read when the model building seems to fizzle. Complete different thoughts, purge the model building, till it is once again looked forward to. Been on a really great run reading books: Seabiscuit, Horse Soldiers, The Night Stalkers, Extreme Ownership, Kelly More Than My Share of It All, currently half way into Shuttle, Houston. Mike

I ran out of space for books. Most of the books are now temporarily in boxes - I plan to thin my collection - as well as in three bookcases.

Those are really neat....but I'm in about the same situation as Don. Too many books, not enough shelves.

A hard frame or box is required, but a lot of this is papercraft.
