I am not certain - perhaps Sgoti you know?

If not I can easily find out for you Diderick as I have some USA contacts who are engineers.

I like to have more irons in the information fire - so if you can find a drawing of the bootom, or a description, yes please. And if sgoti can help: yes please.

Found a number of pictures showing the cab interior - but a plan showing position of various cabinets would be very helpful. Can anyone help?

Sir,

I have these images from when when I was researching information for the CN F-7.
Maybe they help you with dimensions?

No sgoti, the confusion was certainly nor 'from you' - it was just my limited starting knowledge of this subject. All this may be common knowledge your side of the Atlantic - this side, we have to glean what we can from the internet. And: every little helps, thank you.

Diderick -

I believe I can help you out with a number of drawings for this (similar to what I had sent you for the F7 and related models).

One of the ones I have includes a cross-section, showing the curves on the sides of the fuel tank as well as the bottom section. It also shows the I-beams that serve as the frame of the locomotive and support everything. Many of them also include dimensions, as well as side, end, and overhead views.

As I had previously mentioned to you (I believe via PM), I had started designing my own model of a GP38, but ultimately decided that I didn't have the time to invest in seeing the project through to completion. However, I am certainly willing to provide the reference materials I gathered for the project, as well as the work-in-progress if it will help move this project forward faster.

Joshua

Thanks everybody - I think we now have enough data to be getting on with. But as I wrote earlier: this is a long term plan!
