PBR (Pibber) Tyres?
The Pibber also has "tyres" used as fenders.
These are really small. Are they really tyres? Are they Vespa tyres from the motorised rickshaws? Does anyone know for sure?

OK ... I'll bite ... Wassa PBR? Google wasn't too helpful on this. I can't see Professional Bull Riders using Vespa tires.

The first PDR's (PBR-I) were all fiberglass construction and the gunnels would take a beating when you docked or was boarding a sampan for inspection. You could inspect over 50 sampan's on one patrol. As the say, necessity is the mother of invention so most likely a Boatswain's mate came up with the idea of used tires as bumpers.
yes they were motor scoter tires and were around 16 inch's in diameter. the later PBR II was fitted with aluminum gunnels but the tires were still used. Jim Nunn
