Show us your Desktop! Paper Model related?
This is a fad thing on many message boards, where members are asked to show their current desktop.
Its usually all about artwork, wallpapers and how nerdy desktops are organized. I have no idea if this will go over here, a different kind of crowd I admit. But, what the heck. I have a folder of rotating images for my desktop backgrounds, they change at regular intervals, and this one popped up today (attached)... reminding me of when I took this photo and my last trip to the Udvar-Hazy Centre (Air and Space Museum) in 2018. It also made me realize that I have very few paper model related images in my desktop wallpapers! Something I may have to remedy. I wondered what other member's desktops might look like and if you use any paper model related images? Please share if you are so inclined. Phone and Tablet screens are also welcome. (no NSFW images please) If you are unsure about how to screengrab your desktop, just press the Prnt Scr (Print Screen) key which is usually just to the right of the F12 key. That will grab the image to your clipboard... now just open any graphic or image editor (even Windows Paint) and Paste the image (or Open from Clipboard). Then you can resize if necessary and save to a jpg.

This is my tablet's desktop. Sorry, not model related. I had a poster of the 'Dune Messiah' book cover growing up and the image has stayed with me ever since.

My desktop is kind of self-explanatory. It's 'my logo' which I designed almost 12 years ago. This particular 'vintage' version is now my desktop for almost three years already. The logo itself has been my desktop image for more than ten years now. It still isn't boring! (-:
(For those of you who ask where all the apps are: I have a MacbookPro; the apps are in my dock which usually is hidden. I hardly keep stuff on my desktop.) |

I have several wallpapers for my desktop, mostly Pacific/CBI-themed paintings(I'm a huge fan of this kind of art). Right now, the one below is in use, P-40 Warhawk.

Three Desktops
Have three desktops.
One for browsing the net, uses Win10pro: The one on my current drawing machine, the computer has been quitting so bought an upgrade computer: My third machine is going to replace the current drawing computer. Slowly loading stuff into it. Dell tech told me that a 7th generation i7 chip will not work with win 7, so got the 6th generation by buying a used computer to build. It is a powerhouse: 1) 500gb SSD 2) 2Tb SSD 3) 8GB GPU 4) Corsair TM550 power supply 5) 6th generation i7 chip 6) 64gb memory 7) 27" LG 4K monitor It should run my AutoCAD 2019 with no problem! Planning to use the Earth Rise photo from Apollo 8 on it. Mike
