It's about time to change my 30-yr-old avatar.

I'm a bit older (not much) and a little furrier than was in 1993.

Blame the "haircut" on Covid. I haven't been to a barber since November
and I haven't been this furry since my college days.

I will turn 70 in June. It's hard to believe; I thought it would take longer.

I don't feel almost 70; I'm still capable of way too much mischief. Didn't someone say that "70 is the new 40"?

I really have no idea how I'm supposed to feel; I've never been this old before.
I guess I'll just keep doing my best to get from adolescence to old age without hitting maturity in between. It's working so far.

That's a nice thing about my avatar. Not me.

I'm starting to feel that 'older' thing myself. My tag line used to be 'Never grow up. Never grow old.' It only works to a point. Now I feel old, but still not grown up.

That's the thing about 70. Now that you are halfway done, what will you do with the second half?

Welcome to the Oldies Club David. My biblical "Three score years and ten". came and went a good few years back now, but the 18yr old Teddy Boy they cut the hair off and gave a gun, is still lurking in me somewhere. I'm 77 but for some unknown reason I've just bought a Red Fender Strat.

Just remember that although growing older is inevitable, growing up is entirely optional.

My 75th arrived a few months ago -- yes, much sooner than it should have. What's interesting is that each morning, when I first crack open my eyes, I'm 23 again. That feeling doesn't last, of course, as merely getting out of bed provides many reminders that the real 23 was a long time ago.

It's amazing how quickly the years pass by. I still haven't decided what I want to do when I grow up. Mind you, I'm only 61 so there's no rush ;o)

David, VK, Yale and John - I am also still stuck in my 18's to 23's in terms of years.

Terrible how the mind remains the same, but the body weakens.

I always believe in doing what I want, so I am always getting involved in youthful (other than athletic!) pursuits. Started Lego in my late 50's for example!

Turning 64 this May.

When asked my age? My answer, "Old enough to know better, but still young enough to get away with it!"
