H & B Precision Card Models

Does H & B Precision Card Models (ref: current USS Forestal thread) have a website? They are not listed on the vendor links pages and references on the internet are old.

Thanks,
russ

Hi Don!

The build is going pretty well, thanks for asking. (The laser cut “cage mast” is worth the price of admission and the reason I decided to build the California!). I need to get busy and post some pictures. I’m also hoping to post some pictures of my OO scale paper projects “soon”.

All the best!
Russ

No doubt, many card/paper builders have pondered the question about how to create authentic early 20th century American battleships . . . being confronted with the daunting prospect of creating "cage masts".
Laser cutters appear to be the answer, based on what you show us here of your U.S.S. California. The mast in the image really looks good.
Question: can you describe what it was like to work with it? Was it cut on white stock? If so, how did you add the gray color?
Thanks,
Mike

I’ll start a thread for the build and add pictures of the laser cut pieces. They really are a work of art (but very fiddly!)
