Pogo Possum Annual Holiday Song
For those who remember Walt Kelly and the denizens of the Okefenokee Swamp, it's time for the annual carol:
Deck us all with Boston Charlie, Walla Walla, Wash., and Kalamazoo! Nora's freezin' on the trolley, Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo! Don't we know archaic barrel Lullaby Lilla Boy, Louisville Lou? Trolley Molly don't love Harold, Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo! Bark us all bow-wows of folly, Polly wolly cracker an a too-da-loo! That is great, thanks Don. I grew up reading those Pogo comics. Read them again as an adult and understood some of the underlying social and political messages Kelly snuck in. Still a great comic strip.

Must be many of us left who know the password and secret handshake for the Pogo club. Strips like Pogo and Li'l Abner forced us into some thought and retrospection, things that are completely missing from what passes for comic strips today.
