My favorite Christmas song

My favorite Christmas song
This song is about Christmas, about childhood Christmas memories, about love and hope. For me, the line from the song with the wish to all prisoners to escape from their prisons is especially touching. In general, a combination of the timeless theme of Christmas and modern music ....

Raskasta Joulua - Tulkoon joulu - YouTube

By the way. This song wrote in 1986 Finnish composer Pekka Simojoki (born January 5, 1958 in Kemi, Finland). He is lyricist and arranger of spiritual music, living in Kangasala. He has a master's degree in theology.

Merry Christmas PMs!

And what is your favorite Christmas song?

Hello Dane. Can't really say I have a favourite this or that. Or rather I can, but it changes from day to day. Howsomever, the Christmas song I'll be playing more than any other this feative season is "Run Run Rudolph" by Samantha Fish: Samantha Fish - Run Run Rudolph (Official Audio) - YouTube

A Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to you and yours.

As for me perhaps my favorite is the polonaise "Bog sie rodzi" (1792):
God Is Born - Wikipedia
Bóg się rodzi, God Is Born (Christmas carol) - YouTube
It is for sure the most popular of all the Polish Christmas carols, however I cannot tell you if it is my favourite one. I can sing and play on the guitar only some fifty or sixty Polish carols or so, and I heard much more of them including hundreds more of them which I heard only once or twice in my life. The tradition of singing together in the family homes in Poland is connected with the Christmas time only, so there is plenty of old and new carols being sung up to now, but to be honest my peers know one tenth of the number of carols being sung by our parents and grandparents. I have the old book from the beginning of 20th century entitled "The choice of the most popular Christmas carols from the Cracow region" and it contains some three hundreds lyrics...

Thank you Viator.
I see it is difficult to choose one Christmas song. Then I will reformulate my question. What Christmas song or hymn, or classic are you having in your soul these Christmas days? Thank you.

Rusty Chevrolet by Da Yoopers 'cause it brings back a lot of fun Christmas memories. It used to make my mother laugh. I like many of the traditional songs too.

For me it's Bing Crosby "White Christmas" in large part due to fantastic film titled the same.
I've seen this film long before I learned English and it stuck with me. That song and Bing Crosby lead me to my fascination with swing era,Glen Miller,Ella Fitzgerald and all other magnificent voices of those times.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" written by Kim Gannon and recorded in 1943 by Bing Crosby always causes me to tear up a little. It perfectly and emotionally encapsulates the desire of soldiers fighting overseas to be home with their loved ones at Christmas time.

In the "old days" before the internet, these two stop-motion animated films were known to every child in the Chicago area, but virtually unknown anywhere else:

The Three Little Dwarves:WGN Channel 9 - The Bozo Show - Hardrock and Coco and Joe - The Three Little Dwarves (1983) - YouTube
Suzy Snowflake: Suzy Snowflake - YouTube

This year, I bought the sheet music to both of these songs and played them a lot, along with "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and a couple of other songs of that era. My neighbours may have gotten sick of hearing them!
