There is a military parade going on in Tiananmen Sq, and so modelers in China prepared a different way to celebrate... By hosting their own parade :o

That is the most fabulous Potemkin also. It is ironic I suppose that some one in China they pick the symbol of the first populist uprising from 1905. But all the model they show very much skill and talent. It is good to see people in China enjoy the hobby too and do work with such quality.

Great pics! I reciently purchased the Beiyang Fleet Cruiser "Dingyuan" plastic model kit from an Ebay store. The painting instuctions seem too simplified. But the cruiser shown on the site shows a completely different and far more detailed model scheme. I think I'll use it as a reference.

I also wonder how they made those large rounded gun turrents without any visable seams, do you think they were made using paper casts?
