The USA was robbed! Robbed, I tells ya!
I would be one of the people in the stands making that noise if I was there. I have been going to football (and futbol) games and ice hockey games and making noise with one of those plastic horns since 1967. Lots of fun but annoying as h-e-double-hockey-sticks if you aren't making the noise. :D Nothing unique to South Africa about it.

I just love the sound of them in the games. I have my horns ready every time there's a match - ice-hockey, football, basket ball - anything goes. This add-on just don't work for me that well. BTW I'm waiting for my newest vuvuzela to arrive by post anyday. ;-)
Here's a great calendar for the games: http://www.marca.com/deporte/futbol/...o-english.html Last edited by Tapcho; 06-18-2010 at 12:10 PM. Reason: Added info |

Tapcho; I clicked on the link, and then had the horrible thought that I might not be able to get rid of the thing.:o
Fortunately when I closed the window it went away! Personally I kind of like them too, but can also understand why some people hate them; a little like accordions and carillons (and bagpipes.) |

Have they started showing up yet at international chess matches?
