I have a dream - the Century Series in cardboard? ...

Hello gentlemen,

long time before I found the way back to cardmodeling, I was glueing plastic aircraft models together. But the old dream, to have all aircrafts of the century series in one scale together - never fulfilled.
In this community are a lot of qualified and engaged designers - why not start to bring them all up in cardboard - in one scale?

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

USAF Century Series

F-100 Super Sabre*
F-101 Voodoo
F-102 Delta Dagger
F-104 Starfighter*
F-105 Thunderchief
F-106 Delta Dart
F-110A Phantom II (last of the Century changed to F-4)

But.......... it would also be nice to see the NAVY side too!

F3H Demon*
F-4D Skyray
F-8U Crusader
F-11F Tiger**

Some of these have been done (besides by FG and MM), but I think we should say that they be downloadable. (Digital)

*Roman has release the Super Saber, Starfighter, and Demon

**Koncho did the F11F Tiger

But Thunderchief, Voodoo, Dagger and Dart haven't been done yet (to my knowledge digitally) along with a good Phantom II, Skyray, and Crusader.

Hope thats good enough for a list........... at least to start.

Scale......... 1/48 but....... being digital would alow for going up or down.

Oh boy

Dear List folks:
What Century? 19th, 20th, or 21st? Or just say manned flight?
I still think is a good Idea but big.

Century series aircraft is military aircraft that was built in the 50's up 60~70's. I think from 70's up is modern series.

The reason they were called century series is that they all started with the number 100 ( 100 in Latin denotes century ). They could have called it the Cent series which is also 100 based, but that would have sounded cheap. Anyhow, it has nothing to do with the 20th century or any chronological time period.

Even though the experimental ones in between are not truely in the count, I would love to see those as well including the F-111

Cheers and keep on building in any series.

Isaac

TSMC (Tokyo Solid Model Club) TSMCのホームページ has the Super Sabre, Voodoo, and Delta Dagger. Only the F-102 is available for download, you need to send an email to ask for the others. Very nice models.
