New laptop, new projects, life is good
My work laptop finally gave up the ghost after almost 2 years of hard use. It took a while but I'm back and plowing my way through the 1,215 unread posts since I was last able to get online.
On a happy note, I received my package of kits from Papercut last week. I'm pleased to say that these are my first paid kits (having gone through a variety of online freebies) and I'm tackling the 1:400 HMS Begonia from the JSC 1:400 Nelson kit. I'm working my way up to the gems of Potemkin and Sevastopol, along with Modelik's HMCS Agassiz. Life, as they say, is good. |

Glad to hear you are back online and I look forward to seeing these great ships built. I don't recall seeing a BEGONIA build before, it should be interesting.

The only thread I saw was one on Kartonbau.de. I'm partway through the build and not happy with some of the glue efforts on the larger surfaces, so Begonia is likely to be the sacrificial lamb of the build process. Fortunately, I did a scan first ;-) I'll try to take some pics before I get too far down the road.
