Aces of Ecardmodels
I am working on a new line of models for the shop. I have a number of designers and repainters on board already. If you wish to participate in some way please let me know. beta builders would be appreciated for the new models and builders for established models with new liveries also appreciated. This will be a mid to long term project.
The goal is to model the planes of the top aces for every country in world wars one and two. Major war participants will get about the top 5 aces. Minor participants will get top 1-3 aces. it kinda depends on what refernce materials I can find. All models will be designed to be 1:33 for sure with designers choice if they also want to include smaller versions. I will be adding lists of pilots/planes to this thread to keep track of whats in the works already. If you have lots of reference materials I wouldnt mind the help. Top and side views are a huge help of course but we can use just side if we can plop something generic on the wings. So I grossly underestimated my pilot lists.... also it coould be possible to have the same pilot with different planes if resources found
World War I - 64 pilots World War II - 148 Pilots These lists are heavy on the germans and the Americans of course. I will probably throw this into a google doc at home to post for all to see. |

Updated first post to include link to aces list. If you have reference materials for one of these planes feel free to update it under plane 1,2 or 3 (I can add more columns if more are needed) If you plan on doing research let me know so I can give you access! PM me your email address.

Chris,
One glaring error: You ought to add Donald Blakeslee to the list of US aces... 15 1/2 but could have easily had more as he often "gave" enemy aircraft to his wingmen. Ryan |

How about crew gunners? I remember reading somewhere there were several who were credited with 5 or more in WWII. :D
Not sure but I think "Snuffy" Smith got 5 on the mission where he won the MoH. |
