My Yamaha YZR1 (with a twist)

Well for a change i am doing somthing diffrent from a plane i allways wanted to build this model since i seen it on yamahas site ...but this time i am trying some new thimgs with this model...
i wanted to make it a little bit more realistic -as for the fairing go and the chassis ...usually i would go for spraying fixativ and glossy varnish to get the sparkle finish but this time i laminated clear and glossy wallpaper on to the fairing parts and used joining strips for gluing...not the easy way to do things but i like the effect .allso i had to have a clear canopy
here is the front fairing.

bike handlers /steering
I must say that the instructions are not that clear about all the parts directions so it is very easy to make misstakes

Very nice work thus far, particularly like the frame, the areas around the joints looks almost like a weld - Cooool, great bike too

WOW! Top notch work! Keep it up.
I used to dream of buying an R1. But, kids came and so the dream went along packing. I just might have to build this monster!

Great work, I'll be watching this for sure.

Excellent mods! I've built a Vespa 150 papermodel from paper-replika and Loudog"s Mille Maglia, though I found the yamaha site before, I might just try building one of their's too.

I have finished the fule tank ,had a little bit of a struggle fitting the top part to the bottom but i think it came out ok ,it is not easy doing it with the laminated skin but it looks very cool and shiny
