'81 Opel Ascona C 4dr Sedan (GM J-body)

Dear colleagues,
I'd like to introduce my another project:
'81 Opel Ascona C 4dr Sedan.

This is one of representatives of GM J-body. This was a global platform on which a huge list of models was produced:
- Opel Ascona (Germany),
- Vauxhall Cavalier (UK),
- Holden Camira (Australia),
- Isuzu Aska (Japan),
- Chevrolet Cavalier / Pontiac Sunbird / Oldsmobile Firenza (North America).

Jim, the Manta seems to be a little more difficult to build, but I think I could do. But much later, now I have a long list of projects (it's submitted in my modelcars gallery: List of projects - my gallery of scale modelcars).

You forgot the Cadillac Cimarron. I bet Cadillac would like to forget it, too...

Yes, you are right. Perhabs I forgot the small Caddy because it was not a successful model, just an example of marketing failure.

Yay! An actual Opel!

My father has only owned Opels. First a 1978 Kadett C sedan, then a Corsa A and more recently an Astra A. I wish I could find a Kadett C sedan paper model. The only one I could find was a brazilian Chevrolet Chevette (= 2-door Kadett C with trunk that was sold there until 1993).

If you want a brazilian Chevrolet Monza (basically a brazilian-built Opel Ascona), there are some here.
