Excavator HSW L-34 (Renova Model Nº4)

This excavator was produced by Polish firm HSW Huta Stalowa Wola.

The first L-34 was produced in 1971 and the last in 2005. During those years were produced 25,000 units.

Some technical data:

Length: 7720mm
Width: 2800mm
Cabin driver to the floor: 3140mm
Operating weight: 18,560 kg

Engine: SW 680/59/8
No. of cylinders: 6
Diameter of cylinder: 127mm

The model

From Renova Model publisher, very detailed following the famous Kraz.
According to Marcin Kudelski, this model has been developed by him at request of a HSW-L34 dealer.

Technical data

Code: No. 4
Publisher: Renova Model
Author: Marcin Kudelski
Scale: 1:25
Parts: 1944 being 143 built by the modeler (and many more I have to do)
Difficulty: Difficult (Advanced second Renova indication)
Length: 315mm
Instructions: In Polish. On the site of Renova Model are available instructions in English (Renova-Model)
Instructions Pages: 4
Page diagrams: 8 with 230 diagrams in 3D and 2D
Pages of parts: 19 + 2 with parts to build by modeler.
Format: A4

It's also available in two sheets, a simplified model to be built by beginners

Other features

- Very detailed engine;
- Opening doors;
- Removable engine cover;
- Articulated steering;
- Full cabin driver;
- Rear axle mobile;
- Rotation of the wheels;
- The bucket movement articulates exactly like the original machine.

As is Renova Model norm, all models come with serial number in the book. The mine it’s Nº. 653.

Two pages of diagrams

Here one more in detail, gives an idea of what lies beneath the engine cover! As mentioned in the feature, this cover is removable and, this way, not lose sight of all, or at least a significant portion of this assembly, engine, gearbox, differentials.

Three pages of parts

I'll paint completely the model which implies that I have to create many more parts to replace any design that will be lost.

The first parts follow these diagrams. It’s the rear frame.

And here they are, some equipment is already built.

Apart from those that have to be on standby, the set is mounted. Viewed from the front

From back

And by down side
