Wow, it looks fantastic! Beautiful work! The internal "tub" former was an excellent solution. And I agree about the wheel size, they look right. Bravo!

I agree with RPS Don, that looks like a Graham. A quick web search reveals that Graham called this style "Spirit of Motion", but it has become affectionately known as the "Sharknose". It was produced 1938 - 1940. Amazing style!

A 1938 Graham-Paige Sharknose. Pretty close, apart from the headlights.

I'm quite an old car fanatic, but before now I had never heard of Graham Paige.

Now that was style. Graham-Paige eventually became Kaiser. I've seen them in car museums and antique car shows. To drive one you need white gloves, a walking stick and a looong cigarette holder. Beautiful cars.

Kaiser I remember. Frazer, too. One of our neighbors had one and I liked the looks of it.

But I do not recall ever hearing of the Graham-Paige and am glad to make its acquaintance. It does look very much like Don's model.

I've seen a Graham-Paige at a local car show, but it doesn't have quite the "swoopy" lines of your model. Your model looks fast and sleek just sitting there. Well done resurrection!

Imagine this: your model is likely the first time in at least 70 years, maybe longer, that this kit has seen the light of day! Now, that's something.

i just disscovered how to make papermodels bigger in size here is the living prof showin here in this photo. 1/24 scale size bigger then your origenal size.

p.s. i hope you don't mind that i made yours bigger in size

Have fun mbed. The fit was pretty good, so I don't think making it larger will add to the difficulty. I just changed the color, I didn't sharpen up too many of the lines or anything like that, so hopefully you'll be satisfied with the way it looks in the larger scale.

Charles, that thought did enter my mind. I'm sure most of the designers of these old kits have passed on, but I'm sure they'd be very glad to see that their labors are still bringing enjoyment to people 3/4 of a century later.

Post #1 = scan of original design.
Post #13 = Ruben's clean up.
Post #16 = Don's clean up and re-colour.

Left click on thumbnail to expand it.
Right click on the expanded picture.
Select 'Save Picture As'

Simple when you know how, but you do have to know how. eh?

You can extract Don's make up pictures the same way.
