2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV

This generation of Chevy Caprice is actually a rebadged Holden. And it's not producted in US or CA, it's in Australia, and shipped to US!

(In China the rebadged Holden WM Caprice is called Buick Park Avenue, it's just producted in Shanghai, it got no V8, and smaller V6. It's really bad.)

I just made one yesterday, 9C3 GAN Silver Ice Metallic.

I spent about 4 days on designing this model, And because it's my first time to make it, it took me almost 7 hours to make it.

I come to the Campus in Guangzhou today, So I'll post the Template and the guide of making when I go back to Shenzhen, maybe 2 weeks later.

And I'll make a 9C1 Pursuit car when I got time.

Now just show some photos of the real vehicles.

A couple of Dozens of Caprice just arrived in Boston. Some are 9C1, some are 9C3.

Swissvale PD just got new Caprice PPV

I was thinking from the top of the post that I thought the Caprice was going to be law-enforcement only in the States. Then you posted the other pics. If I remember correctly, the US version has the V6 standard, isn't that right?

Yes, this is a law-enforcement only vehicle. The 6.0L V8 is just optional.
I'll post the template when I come back to Shenzhen, maybe 2 weeks later.

I'm always busy these 2 months. And when I was idle, I'm too lazy to make or design paper models.

I made one yesterday. But I just change some details of C-pillar and bumper. And I was too tired to make a article about how to make one.

So I'll show the template a few months later.

This is 9C3 GII Heron White

How to make:

Then, some templates:

GIG Karma Metallic

GII Heron White

GST Mirage Gold Metallic

GYW Hugo Blue Metallic

GIE Phantom Black Metallic

GHY Red Hot

GGG Alto Gray Metallic

GAN Silver Ice Metallic

Base

And use Paint Shop to change the color of the Chromo Part, and put it on the base:

DEMO paint:

DEMO Black and White:

White police car:

Combine the DEMO and Black&White:

Tyre: 9C1 & 9C3

You can design your own paint.

The "State Police" 9C1

I didn't make a push-bar, because I don't know where I should put the front license-plate when the car got a push-bar.

The spotlight can spin, but I have to tweak the light instead of operate a handle.

The way I put the battery and switch is not proper, so the ground clearance is too high. I'll pay attention next time I make.

The 8 pure-color paints are official.

And the detail of the tail-lamps could be improved. Welcome to improve it.
