I see, sorry for the confusion. Those wide ones quite disturb the look of the front of the car, I don't like them either Thanks for the photos!

Working on getting KITT together!

The scanner isn't fully detailed yet, I also need to add the rest of the tabs and change a few parts. The new bumper was modelled and added to the car by imcold

anxious awaits the finished KITT's pattern.

Almost there... just need to add some tabs and arrange the front bumper parts!

I watched an episode of Knight Rider the other day, the one where Michael and KITT enter a race for alternative fueled vehicles to find a saboteur; then at the end Michael has to give his trophy back :P Does anyone remember which one it was where KITT drives over a power line and then can't turn his radio off? That made me laugh

Back to paper modelling Would anyone like KITT to look shiny, or is jet black better?

Too bad I didn't remember that episode. But one that I remember is that KITT's going to participate in a dare devil event and Michael decorate it with silver star stickers. KITT prefer to the stickers over body repaints.

Anyway. KITT always looks great in it overall shiny. But to have that kind of effect on a scaled down model, I think better to have a jet black and spray it over with Clear Gloss Lacquer?

What do you think guys?

Flat or Shiny?

I always want my models to be "plain" rather than have simulated lighting effects. That way they appear "properly" in the actual lighting where they are displayed. I suggest flat back, and builders can use glossy paper or clear coat, but ThnderChild's suggestion of both works for me too. As a designer I know that means more work for you, but as a builder I want what I want

I'm for the combination of flat color + glossy paper/varnish, too.

The first version of KITT is ready!
Black KITT

I could make both... doesn't take long to add the shiny. And just for fun, I started starry KITT too
