They were. I took the bumpers, fenders and hood from the newer Firebird and put them on the older Trans Am, and the older parts on the newer car. My goal was to make the '89 LOOK like an '84 Trans Am. The 84 had a working v8 and the 89 had a seized v6. I was going to swap the engines to get the newer one working again, since it had the least amount of rust and was generally in much better condition. Life got in the way tho, so it never happened.

I got lucky and mine were both the same color red. But on the other hand, one had a junk engine and the other didn't even have one.

LOL!

But the flames version looks cool. I'll have to run through the DVD box set to find out which episode that was.

I could add the first 2 versions to the list, but I have to agree with Will and Revell-Fan on the crumpled one; I'm not sure I could model that. The silver one maybe

That was season 2 episode 8, "Custom KITT" "Knight Rider" Custom K.I.T.T. (TV episode 1983) - IMDb Michael was attempting to get KITT stolen. That was a funny episode

Oh, I see! Thank you for pointing out the episode. So it would be a custom "Custom K.I.T.T." K.I.T.T. kit!

The grey one is the acid-eaten K.I.T.T. from "Junk Yard Dog":

Knight Rider (1982) 3x14 Junk Yard Dog - ShareTV

K.I.T.T. appeared in a white paint scheme there, too.

More like a shooting brake than a Stationcar version. Also, that's rather ugly...
