Do any of you Mustang guys know if this is a '69? Although you might be looking for something more realistic...

This is a toon Mustang... 302 Boss paper model.. and yes it's either a 69 or 70...
If my recollection is correct (and you may corrected me here) the Coupe was only made in 69 and 70???

It's an nice little model, but more realistic would be much appreciated ;-)

Coupe (Non-Fastback) were available from 64 through the 70,
then again in the 74+ Generations.
I do not remember any from the 71-73 era.

AMT's Plastic 66 kit is a Coupe.
Monogram/Revell's First Gen are Convertible & Fastback (2+2)

I have to rephrase.... In South Africa the Coupe was only available from 1969 and 1970 (left hand steering). My friend has a '69 parked under a carport (due for restoration). I would like to build him this Mustang paper model and give it to him as a present.

So any designers up for designing a Coupe... please ;-)

The only 69-70 coupes I know of were done in 1/25 plastic by Revell back then. It was designed to be build as a covert or a coupe which made it not real accurate. Not the best kits ever detail wise, but workable. Unfortunately the body was adapted to a funny car model and the tooling scrapped, so they are fairly rare. There are 69/70 fastbacks available both from AMT and Revell. It would be a place to start. There is also a resin 69 coupe body in Grande trim from afxnscaleresin that's around 30$US just for the body, would need the new Revell SCJ fastback to complete.
I know it doesn't help you with a paper version, but its a starting point.

FYI for the-Edsel, coupes and convertibles were done for the 71-73 years. You just don't see then often at shows.

Nice build. That's the same model as I posted in the first reply.

So it seems there is obviously no 69 / 70 Coupe :-(
Now then..... it's time to "bribe" a designer ;-)

I shouldn't even be considering this with everything I have on my plate right now, but... Just out of curiosity, do you happen to have a photo of your friend's car?
