Over the last few days, I've been playing with what these models might have looked like as real cars. Shortening the length, making the greenhouse taller, and tweaking the overall proportions of the model to make a more prototypical appearance. It's coming along nicely, and nearly ready for a test build...

I'm far from ready to send it out for test builds, guys. I've only done one body style, and it is still needing some TLC. While it follows the basic design of the others, there is only a single part that was unchanged between the old ones and the new one. I can't post a photo here from my phone, but you can see the first component test build on the Papermodels II group on Facebook.

Decided to knock out a few more of these. I don't have any that I haven't given away, and this one is going to the fireman across the street.

Hey, VK,

Just saw your post from November (!) Another nice build. I've been immersed in yet another Star Trek project over the last year that has blossomed into three different models, but am planning to do the updated versions of the car series later this year.

I would have to say that the convertible from much earlier in this thread and the fire chief's car are two of the 'best-received' models that I have given away

Very cool. I'll give you a shout when I get back to the cars.
