yes, that clear bubble is a tricky thing, but you managed to sort it out! LOL I find myself looking at clear packaging when I am in stores...no idea about the products, I just stare at packaging now!! As papermate explains, the round bubble top has squared corners...an overall rectangular shape. There is also an Assembly Sheet for this model (available at my forum www.papermodelforum.com...I have a dedicated area for Assembly sheets.) and it gives a tip for cutting the bubble top... make sure to leave side tabs that you can insert into the body. You can force the squared shape this way.
