Trabant 601 Universal - 1:24 /VB Verlag/

I start today a new project. It is a model from german VB Verlag in 1:24 scale. Trabant is a legendary vehicle from East German auto maker VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. The model has 92 pieces of parts. I made him with interior. That some photos from today building.

Nice, neat build you have going on there. I wasn't familiar with the car, so I googled it. A 2-door station wagon. It has a happy face. Looks sort of like one of those animated clay-mation cars that we used to see quite a bit on TV. Will be interesting to watch this one come together.

Looks a nice little model

Remember seeing lots of these things on a trip to Hungary in the late 80's.

Looks really good. I'm glad the chassis is working out well because this type of model can easily get a twist to it.

Hello!

Nice little 'Trabbi'!

I remember them from Poland and Germany and have seen one even in London 5 years ago!

There were also 'cabrio' and 'military' versions as well just by the way.
