As a big rig driver, I can say that the size of the car doesn't matter. Drive badly around a big rig, and you're gonna get creamed. Although, I do check to make sure I don't have any Smart cars wedged in the grill when I stop for fuel.

LOL.....They are a lot stronger than they look, I have seen a video of one hitting a wall (at an angle in a test crash) at 70 mph and the doors would still open! would have killed you anyway but it stayed in one piece.Though truck can still mess one up....Rich

Thank you John, Murphy and Richkat.
I'm not one for small cars myself, always drove vans.

Very cool! I am watching this build as a 2009 smart cabrio driver myself! BTW, I feel safe in my little car - but I do tend to look out the windows and be aware of my surroundings.

If there are any details that you would like me to photo, please ask.

Thank you Jim.
I think I'm ok so far, so thank you for the offer.
Biggest issue is filling in all the missing parts of the instructions and modifying procedures. So far my experience has been able to fill in the blanks.

Hello again. Time for another update.

Well was able to assemble and install the rear lower panels and bumper, as well as the roll bar assembly.
The front windshield i'm not totally happy with. The over head transparencies are nice to print the cut ont on but cleaning off that film is a problem. It does come off with water, but the friction to remove it caused me to wreck two. I gave up at this point and just installed another one with the print film on. Will have to experiment with another method for the future. Unless someone has used this method of printing windshields before and has a solution.

Thank you for viewing.
Comments and questions are always welcome.

Looks good. As for the wind shield, use regular non-coated transparencies. Print the clear parts on a piece of white paper, place the clear over it, then trace onto the clear with a fine Sharpie.

Hi Mbed2010. Thank you.
I don't know what year this car represents, all I can tell you is that this one was published in 2012.
