Morris (J) type van ,scratch

Hi All,
Yes i know i have not finished my (OB Bedford Bus) yet but i,m really struggling to complete the roof, so rather not do any modelling i,ve started a new model , ( the bus roof will get done) .
this model being a morris J type van.
Made by Morris Motors in 1949 to 1961, (0.5 ton) with sliding both front doors
which i,ll be making, also opening rear doors.
here,s a photo of the van and my started build, enjoy

This little beauty was still around in my now-distant childhood.
I remember them well, in all colours from this Green, to Tan, to Red, to plain Grey and even the occasional plain Black.

Whilst they were not rapid, they were forever reliable, and many lasted decades beyond their intended redundancy, though few survive today (at least in NZ) as far as I'm aware.

I wish you every success with what promises to be an interesting build.

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Wonderful! I love British vehicles of the 1930s-50s era.

You are clearly off to a great start on another scratch building project.

Built the bottom chassis , slideing doors and the center part ,all with the slight reinforcing this little van comes with.

Whulsey.

I,ve taken measurements from a small (Corgi) model and times it by 3 believe it or not, useing ,rulers , etc,.
I,m old school, lucky enough i,m quite a good painter/artist so the eye comes in very useful .
If i was more in to computers and graphics it might be a bit more easy for me and would save a fortune on paper and card, ( swings and roundabouts) .

Pat Craft.
Nothing wrong with your English if i can read it
