1/32 Volyn-969A
This car is little known in the Western world, because to produce and sell only in the USSR and some Eastern Bloc countries. I am familiar with this machine since childhood, they were produced in the Ukraine, where I live now. His real name: LuAZ-969 "Volyn" (ЛуАЗ-969 "Волынь")

If it weren't for paper modeling I would not be familiar with this at all. For a little add-on piece to a diorama I did, I downloaded a very poor model of this car and had to do a lot of kitbashing to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the diorama.
This one would have been perfect (if it were olive drab). Looks like a great model

In fact, the model shown is not amphibious, but there were amphibious derivates produced too (LuAZ-967):

Howdy Vlad!
Thanks a lot for sharing the pictures of your build with us; for many - if not most - Westerners, the design of these (and other "eastern") vehicles is pretty unusual. I think I remember seeing one, though I'm not sure if it was a 969 or a 967, here in Poland some twelve or thirteen years ago. Thank you also for mentioning the amphibious version - very interesting! - Tex |
