heres mine...but its a lot smaller are you sure there were blue checkered jeeps? I'm no expert, and it was a long time ago when I researched these but I think they were only red or black checkered?

What were the "Follow Me" jeeps used for? Leading convoys?

They were used on WWII airfields to direct aircraft to and from parking areas.
Usually the big bombers.
