Porsche 959

My brother thinks the Porsche 959 is the most beautiful car ever made, and while I disagree I'd like to give him one as a present. As my monthly saving rate might not be enough for the real thing, a paper version will suffice.

I haven't been able to found a paper model kit for download or buy, have you ever seen one? Otherwise I'm thinking of trying to design this model, starting from a 3D model of the car. The curved surfaces look scary though...

If you find one, I would be very interested.

You would need an F-40 as well as its rival

Haven't ran across one. Don't think even a plastic model is available currently. Tamiya had an excellent one in 24th. Of course saying Tamiya means the flutter of 50 dollar bills coming out of your wallet. And yes I don't think there is a flat surface or straight line anywhere on that car.

If Volker had followed through on his Dakar Car winners, you would have had a Rothmann's 959, but i know of 3 959 kits, two Dakar, one street

Yeah, I think I have seen a 959 papermodel somewhere...

but the 935 Moby Dick puts a 959 to shame
...my favorite car in Porsche Unleashed!
Now this is a car I should do a Koolwheelz version of!@

I went out and bought a wheel just for that game and this car. A model would be great.

I remember in Porsche Unseashed the 959 was a huge disappointment for me. Though my fav cars from that game are the 944 for amazing maneuverability and the Carrera RS for exactly the opposite .

I had some early Need4Speed experience using a Microsoft Sidewinder controller.
So when I got Porsche Unleashed, I went on eBay and picked up my own new/boxed Sidewinder. (It comes with Motocross Madness, which is a lot of fun!)

I must say, it is the perfect controller for this particular game.
The sensitivity is perfect (in my opinion)...with only slight setup adjustments
you can tweak it perfectly.
I set up the the front buttons for Brake and Gas and used the motion control for steering.
The controller is shaped like a tiny steering wheel so it gives you a driving feel.
(Its one of those tilt and respond controllers with both X and Y axis)

I killed at this game using this controller.

I remember the 959 was the "silverbird" version.
And yes, I remember it was hard to drive, or was a problem of some sort?
