Grille

Slowly making progress. Today I tackled the grille, I used alfoil glued to some card, I cut out a grille surround and let it dry, I cut out some slats for the rest of the grille, a little more spaced than the actual car but hey I'm so far off the original its became the prototype Mercedes didn't build lol. Windows Will Be next on the agenda so stay tuned.

Not Exactly Concourse de elegance

Well another Model finished. Looks good from a distance. The build was a great learning experience. I hoped it would have turned out better, but because its 1/24 scale I was limited to the level of detail I could have on it with the degree of tools in my collection. A Dremel will be on the cards for making these type of models, and a couple of better cutters. Realistically I could have spent more time on this build, but it is what it is.

Hahahaha. Yeah, it's rough up close, but I bet you learned a lot from building it. It was a very ambitious project with all those smooth swoopy curves. I think you've captured the basic shape of the car very well. Looking forward to watching your next project unfold.

My thoughts exactly. By the way, nice use of shadows in the photos. I'll have to remember that
