1968 Mini Cooper

Hi,

Doing a little rework of Ichiyama's Mini Cooper, with the idea of making 'The Italian Job' Coopers. Ichiyama's model is great, but am working on some simple changes that would really improve the model - more detail, smoother roof line, better 3-D wheels, 3-D tail lights, 3-D headlights, spotlights etc.). Original version blown up to 105% in Illustrator for better wheel (Mini-lite) scale.

This version is a scaled up proto with lots of mods needed (shaping nose etc.) but hopefully will look good when all ironed out. Would like to be able to make on red, white and blue coloured card. Messing around a little w/ chrome bumpers (tinfoil / card), but not sure if it works. We'll see.

Unfortunately, away for work for a couple of weeks now, but will do more when I get back.

Ian B.

Nice build! How much is the actual scale, seems to be 1/25 or 1/30?
Some day I would like to redesign / improve this original model too.
